We are so thrilled with the success of the first annual Elle’s Walk for Vasa Previa! Our expectations were far exceeded and we are extremely grateful for all those who made it happen. We had over 120 registered walkers, and approximately 175 people who attended the walk. We raised $7,054.70 in cash and approximately $2,650 in goods and services. Wow!!

We also had coverage on three major television stations, articles in the two largest newspapers in Utah, and were on a public radio show. The outpouring of support for our cause is truly amazing! With the money raised, we are now working on placing brochures in every OBGYN office, birthing class, baby store and ultrasound location in the state. We are also in contact with medical professionals to work on training, education and research.

A section about Vasa Previa was added to the "Utah Mama’s Handbook" which is being sold all over the state of Utah. We are working on getting Vasa Previa information in such books as "What to Expect when you’re Expecting" and "Pregnancy Week by Week". Our only hope is to reach as many women as possible regarding this devastating, yet treatable condition.

We will hold the Second Annual Elle’s Walk for Vasa Previa September 17th and encourage everyone to participate! Donations are welcome at any time and can be sent to the P.O. Box listed on this website or click the “Make a Donation” button on the home page.

We have had a few individuals contact us who have experienced the same or similar tragedy. We encourage all those who have experienced any infant loss to contact us and share your story. We are going to start a support group for all of us who have lost an infant, and encourage all who would like to participate to do so. Please check back later for more information regarding the support group.
