Vasa Previa Foundation of Utah is a non-profit organization founded by Bryce & Miriam Gerritsen who lost their first child to Vasa Previa in May 2004. After learning that Vasa Previa is a treatable condition, they wanted to help other families from experiencing the same tragedy.

Vasa Previa Foundation of Utah was organized to promote the prenatal diagnosis and treatment of Vasa Previa. We hope to accomplish this by concentrating on three main objectives:

1. Educate the general public and medical community about how to detect and treat Vasa Previa.
2. Change standard procedures within hospitals and clinics to aid in the early diagnosis and treatment of Vasa Previa.
3. Provide support for those affected by Vasa Previa.
